Clients use different terminology to discribe what it is that I do--recently I spent a lot of time on the phone with my web site team, and after a few hours of viewing my web site with over 200 pictures of window treatments, blinds and shutters--he asked what does your business sell?? He thought all the rooms looked very nice but was not really sure if it was funiture or interior decorations--I finally told him
"window treatments"--his response was--what is a window treatment?? He totally got it after I said "curtains". If you look up cutrains in the dictionary it discribes it as a long piece of material hanging from a pole covering a window. So I guess what I realized is that curtains only partically discribe what this business entails. It really is more than cutains as I explained to a young man at the web center. It's more of a full scale room evaluation where you and the customer can decide on what window covering is going to best suit their needs and enhance their liviing environment. I for one feel like there's a lot more to designing the perfect window treatment than what the word curtain means.
