It’s easy to find custom window treatments in Philadelphia and Doylestown—simply start by calling Affordable Custom Designs at (215) 489-9679 to set up a complementary drapery design consultation in your home.

At our first meeting, we’ll choose a style of curtains or drapery from your reference material or from our idea book, which includes our portfolio of custom window treatments, as well as many additional styles of drapes, curtains, blinds, shutters, and more.

We will also discuss your fabric preferences, including:

• Color Palette
• Texture
• Design
• Fabric Weight

In addition, we talk about adding the perfect finishing touches, such as:

• Cording
• Banding
• Contrast Lining
• Rosettes
• Knots
• Buttons
• Brush Fringe
• Bullion Fringe
• Tassels

At this time, we provide preliminary “guesstimate” of the cost of the project based on the style chosen, extras added, labor, and yardage based on the average cost of drapery fabric.

During our second visit, we will review fabrics for your custom window treatments from our extensive fabric library. Our books are updated twice a year so that you can choose from the latest styles to find the one that works best with your existing furniture, carpet and paint.

Once you have selected the perfect fabric for your drapes or curtains, we can finalize selections for trims, contrasting fabrics, and hardware, including rods, brackets, finials, and rosettes.

That’s it! Your exclusive design for window treatments, curtains, drapes, blinds, shutters, or whatever you have selected is finalized. We’ll finish the order, at which time a 50% deposit is required, with the balance due on the day of installation. As always, our Doylestown, Philadelphia, Bucks County, Montgomery County, and all of our customers receive consultations at no charge.

Your custom window treatments will typically be ready for installation within 6 to 8 weeks. Your consultant and bonded and insured installer will both be present to ensure that your window fashion meets our specifications.
